Nature's Nurseries 2
Nature & Wildlife 50' 2026 4K
Whether in the wilderness, on fields and pastures, or living right beside us, all animals share the same task: ensuring the survival of their young. Every species on Earth has developed strategies—and often astonishing tricks—to give its offspring the best possible start.
NATURE’S NURSERIES 2 showcases remarkable, touching and surprising animal stories. The film explores our immediate surroundings—gardens and farms—where many wild and domestic animals find ideal conditions to raise their young. We witness a donkey giving birth, a rare and emotional moment for a species that now depends heavily on human care. Some animals arrive by choice: sparrows thrive near us, using buildings as nesting sites and benefiting from our constant supply of food.
Butterflies such as the red admiral flourish where nettles grow in abundance. From tiny garden birds to the imposing white stork, many species commute between their nurseries near us and the wider landscape beyond. Others keep their distance from humans and breed in open fields and pastures—ground nesters like the skylark.
Even far from the comforts of human habitats, wild animals succeed in launching their young into life. In the cold, unforgiving climates of Northern Europe, species have evolved extraordinary strategies to raise their offspring. Seabirds such as puffins time their breeding so that their chicks hatch during the brief warm period with abundant food. Other species equip their young with thick coats, like the snowstorm-proof calves of musk oxen.
All these strategies reveal how animals meet the challenges of life and they show nature’s extraordinary adaptability. One very important question for successfully raising the next generation is: Do the parents choose the perfect place for this task?
